One Short Opportunity To Do Good

God gave us all gifts and abilities, time and relationships. He gave us opportunities, and God works on our character. But there is something that He simply does not give us ... a guaranteed future.

No, God gives us a limited future. And then He challenges us - will we use what precious little time we have for the benefit of others? For the Gospel? For HIS use?

Or squander it on ourselves?

Each year people are born. Each year people die. And each year we have the ability to influence the eternal destiny of some of them. But to do so, we must count the cost, and force ourselves to choose to do so. It is, after all, not the normal thing to do!

Each year a new crop of freshmen are here! They are making decisions as to sex, and jobs, and drugs, and God. Many of them will drop out before they are seniors, and throw away their lives in various ways.

Every year Youth For Christ in the Greater Cleveland area reaches out to thousands of teens. We give the Gospel to some kids in small private times. Others hear it in larger gatherings or clubs. Still others receive info in printed form. All this takes time, and effort, and cost.

Do you know the need for loving our youth? You do, don't you? Do you believe in giving positive choices and help to them? Yes? Believe that the Gospel needs to be given to people who have never heard the good news?

What it comes down to is this - the need is great, but the laborers are few. Please pray and consider how you may labor with us. If you don't feel you can be personally involved in ministry, that's ok - we are also in great need of financial backers to pay the financial price of what we do.

Gifts. Talents. Opportunities. Money. ... but we are only given a little time. May we all find a place to give of ourselves, and impact eternity.
