Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a group of men and women who take responsibility for the entire Greater Cleveland Youth For Christ chapter. This role includes legal, moral, ethical and spiritual accountability to Youth For Christ USA, the State of Ohio, the IRS, the community, the donors, the constituency and the staff.

Our board cares about youth and wants to see them reached for Christ.

Each member serves a three-year term and many of them sign on for a consecutive term. These men and women are helping to make a difference in the lives of youth in Cleveland.

The Board has five major roles.

1. Make Major decisions - This is done through the Executive Director and as a team.
   
   Greater Cleveland YFC is a multi-faceted ministry, with many busy people doing different things. Solid leadership is important to keep the ministry going forward in unison in new areas, and in key situations.
   
   
2. Develop Financial Resources - The Board is active in recruiting partners to financially team up with the ministry.
   
   Finances are an important issue at YFC. We do a lot of ministry with what we are given - and God is faithful to us. But continuing financial provision is needed because the needs are so very great. Please consider contributing to the ministry.
   
   
3. Plan and Evaluate Ministry - As the Board observes ministry, they help set the overall direction and goals.
   
   
4. Relate to Local Churches and the Community - The Board is a broad representation of geography and denomination within Greater Cleveland and the body of Christ.
   
   
5. Develop Human Resources - Through the executive Director, ther Board oversees the hiring and the long term care of staff.
