That's not all that is free! Some things are free, not because they are worthless, but because they are worth TOO MUCH TO BUY.

Think about it. What if someone offered you money for your blood, to be used for a blood transfusion to save a life. All your blood will be needed - it will be your life for the strangers. Would you sell your blood? How can a price be placed on your own life?

You may sell your life to save the other - to benefit your heirs. But there is no fair price for your life, is there? And what if, instead of a stranger, it was a known enemy?

It's a rough analogy of God's love. He had a gift so incredible and so priceless that the entire world could not pay for it. But we were hopeless without it. God did an incredible thing - He gave it as a GIFT!
