Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible to be:
   
   
   1. The inspired Word of God. II Timothy 3: 16 (superintended by the Holy Spirit)
   2. The only infallible Word of God. Revelations 22: 18-19, John 10: 31
   3. The authoritative Word of God. Matthew 3: 4, 5: 18
      
      
2. We believe that there is one God (I Corinthians 8: 4-6, I Timothy 2: 5) eternally existent in three persons: Father (John 6: 27), Son (John 1: 1) and Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9: 14, I Corinthians 2: 10-11).
   
   
3. We believe in
   
   
   • The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1: 1-2)
   • His virgin birth - Matthew 1: 18
   • His sinless life - Hebrews 4: 15
   • His miracles - John 20: 30-31
   • His vicarious and atoning death  - I Corinthians 15: 1-3
   • His bodily resurrection - I Corinthians 15: 35-49
   • His ascension to the right hand of the Father - Romans 8: 34
   • His personal return in power and glory - Acts 1: 9-11
     
     
4. We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential - John 3: 3-7, Titus 3: 5.
   
   
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life - I Corinthians 3: 16, 6: 19. Galatians 5: 22.
   
   
6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - Acts 24: 4-6.
   
   
   • They that are saved unto the resurrection of life - Revelations 20: 4-6.
   • They that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation - Revelations 20: 12-13.
     
     
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ - I Corinthians 12: 12-14
