Nicholas Acevedo

Nicholas understands the importance of investing in the youth & families of the community because so many others invested in him as a young man. Growing up, Nicholas came from extremely difficult circumstances, and was on the road to becoming a statistic; that is, until The Gospel impacted his life and brought mentors into his life who believed in his potential.

Several years ago, Nicholas and his wife moved directly across the street from the City Life Center, where he was able to connect with Jonny Fine and the staff of the City Life Center. He is most excited about being able to run with a group of people who have a vision for the city by helping youth make a decision to be a follower of Christ and impacting the families of our city.

Nicholas currently works for United Way's Accountable Health Community program, where he is able to connect high risk patients at local hospitals to resources that can help with food, housing, transportation and utilities. He also pastors a local church. He, his wife, his daughter and his soon to be baby boy enjoy spending time trying new restaurants, exploring Cleveland, and watching movies.
